bugs and glitches and such

So I am using a different computer for my blogging and whatnot and have just discovered two very disturbing facts. #1 - this computer eats my itunes. I just bought 3 albums on itunes, got my recipt and poof! they are gone never to be recovered. I want to call Apple and cry about it but I am about 90% certain they won't give a rip. And disturbing fact #2 - this computer won't let me upload photos. This is so sad because my pink birthday party was last night and I have some fabulous pictures. Cute pink decorations and grown men hula hooping. I know you are really sad to be missing out for the time being. IT (aka Aaron) is working on it. We better figger it out soon cuz we can't afford to go buying a new computer!!

Chocolate Party

Yesterday we got an invitation to a Chocolate Party, which to me, sounds like the best idea ever! Who wouldn't want to go to a chocolate themed party? It is a birthday party for a friend of ours and I am excited to get a fun present together for her. I already made her these criss cross coasters in chocolate brown and green (I must have known!) the other day, so now I am going to go find her some fun chocolatey gifts to go with them. Chocolate tea, coffee, gourmet chocolate powders, Whole Foods here I come!

Next to having people over I love giving gifts, best. I love picking out the perfect present for people, or putting together a fun box or basket of goodies. That is probably why I love swaps so much. Half the fun of doing them is putting the packages together! Naturally the other half of swapping is getting your package in return. Sadly, my last three Swap-Bot swaps my partners were no-sends. So sad! I've had to bid farewell to swap-bot becuase of it. Now I just do blog swaps and hopefully they will have more success. I know they will because you all are so nice!

Now, that being said, I think I will do a brooch swap, but I'll need to do another post to put all the rules and fun stuff in it. I'll do that later today. We'll have sign ups this week for it and then send our creations early February. If it goes well maybe we can do it monthly or bi-monthly, with themes etc. We'll see how the first one goes, but I'm sure it will go great!

Better Late Than Never

My little peanut's 1st birthday was in October, but I never got around to posting pics. Bad momma! I made a cupcake mountain for her, with a train going up the side. Yum! My son took the "i" from birthday, but we made do.

I did a carnival theme and had all kinds of games set up for the kids. I found some plastic flag bunting at a party store for $8. Best eight bucks I ever spent! It was the only decoration I used and it completely transformed the yard and made it very festive looking. Naturally I don't have great pics of it. I do intend on keeping it and using it for years to come, so it will re-appear in the future. I know it seems silly to have a big party with a theme and all for a one year old, but I have an unusually large family. I am the oldest of 22 grandchildren, 13 of whom are still in elementary school. Family parties are a bit of a big deal around here, and always lots of fun!

She really enjoyed her cupcake. It wasn't great from a culinary standpoint, but it was fun to watch her go to town on it. Isn't she the cutest?
